Whether it is a farmer with a grain dryer problem during harvest or an industrial company with a critical machine down, time is money. GSE understands that. That’s why we are take calls at all hours of the day and night to get our valued customers back up and running as quickly as possible. Our commitment to customer service is second to none.
Everybody wants the lowest price. Until you realize it was a mistake. We want you happy with the end product, not wishing you had done things differently. That’s why we review the electrical plans that contractors send us for bidding and make recommendations on ways to improve the design. It could be on increasing the light output in a shop, suggesting better outlet placing, a recommendation on a different type of fixture or changing how switches work to make it more convenient. Fixing problems later is always more expensive than doing it right the first time.
If the customer comes directly to us, we take the time to understand your needs, and then create an electrical plan that is optimized for your specific use.
Our guys are clean cut, honest and careful. They don’t smoke, vape or chew and you won’t hear any cursing on the job site. They clean up after themselves and respect your property. That’s why our regular customers don’t think twice about letting us in their home or business when they are gone.
GSE electricians pride themselves on clearly labeled, logically arranged electrical panels, straight conduit lines and level boxes. And while we personally love electrical parts and supplies, we recognize that not everyone enjoys looking at it. If there is a way to cleverly hide conduit, boxes, and such, we do it. If visually appealing work appeals to you, you’ll appreciate Greg Schneider Electric. We take pride in our work so you can too.
Some electrical contractors don’t want to be hassled with service work. Their focus is doing big new construction jobs and then landing the next one. At GSE, we (of course) appreciate big greenfield projects. But if you call us later with a question or concern, we won’t consider you an annoyance. We’ll call you back and solve your problem. That’s who we are. It’s a trait instilled into all our guys by our founder.
“Why rent when you can buy?” Our founder prefers to invest in equipment rather than spend money on rental costs. That way, it’s always available when you need it, enabling a quicker solution for our customers. Same goes for electrical parts. Our warehouse is full of every conceivable tool and supply and we send our guys out in “mobile warehouses” a.k.a our service vans stuffed to the gills with parts. Sure, we could save money on fuel if our guys drove regular pickup trucks, but we know you don’t want to have to wait for us to order a part or run to the supply depot. Service first!
We live in a period of unprecedented technological advancement. And you know what? All of it is powered by electricity! It is an exciting time to be an electrical contractor as computerized automation is bringing incredible capability and efficiency to our customers. But that is just one way GSE is on the cutting edge. Our designers keep up-to-date on the latest developments and trends and recommend new solutions when it can bring a benefit to our customers. Why do it the way it has always been done if now there is a better way to do it?
GSE has the skilled staff and specialized software — such as Rockwell Automation and Automation Direct — and equipment to build, program and modify PLCs. (A programmable logic controller (PLC) is an industrial computer that has been ruggedized and adapted for the control of manufacturing processes, such as assembly lines, machines, robotic devices, or any activity that requires high reliability, ease of programming, and process fault diagnosis.) These services are in high demand. In fact, we’ve been asked build and ship PLCs to places outside of our service area for installation by local electricians there.
The experience you have with an electrician is primary driven by two things: the quality of their work and the quality of their communication. We stive to excel in both because we know that even if our work is outstanding, if you can’t get a call back, or don’t know when we’ll be arriving on a job, or are not clear on next steps, you’ll be frustrated. Understandably so.
Customer projects are exceptionally documented with detailed schematics, oodles of photographs, underground conduit maps and more. Why should you care? Because down the road when you need to expand, this information will make it easy for you and prevent costly mistakes.
Rooted in our founder’s love for people, Greg Schneider Electric truly cares for the communities we live in, whether that be Remington, Wolcott, Monticello, Rensselaer, Fowler, Goodland, Kentland, Brook, or Francesville. That’s why we donate time and material to local causes for the public good, such as our community schools, parks and libraries.
